I was at Home Depot and saw these. Not sure if anyone talked about this before but I think it could be used in a lot of applications. Home Depot had a 4-pack on clearance for $40. They are about 5 feet tall and supposed to keep a charge for 10 hours. Malibu Lighting:

    Amazon carries them too:

I bought these 2 years ago, and had to abandon them.

They "flicker" in a set, strobe-like pattern. That is a strict no-go for some of the folks that come through my place. Otherwise, they were pretty cool, but do not give off nearly as much light as a regular torch. And it slowly dims as the night goes on. Did have some fun messing with my wife with them, though. (she works 3 PM to 3 AM, imagine walking into the house at 3 AM to see a skull over the top of one of those so just the eye/nose cavities were 'flickering')
