If you're talking about latex for masks and props, than no its not floor glue. Its a rubber product which you pour or brush into molds to create rubber skins/masks or props. We have even used it to make flexible molds of students projects. What specifically are you trying to do - would love to help, just need to know what your end outcome is.

Im making an alien prop.... I put model magic onto a styrofoam wig head for the head. The body is paper mache over chicken wire. I thought I read about someone using a latex type material made of elmers flooring adhesive to make 'skin'
I dunno maybe I dreamed it LOL

There are quite a few people on this forum that have used flooring/carpet latex with success. I haven't had much luck with it as it is a really sticky product, even when dry. But it is usable.
Newbie: As long as the Elmer's flooring adhesive is latex, then you should be good to go. Good luck!

Hmmm... maybe Id better just get the paper mache as smooth as possible and make do with that. Hopefully after its painted and put in a dimly lit room the 'bumps' wouldn't be too obvious.
I can envision myself glued to the table with bits of newspaper and styrofoam. A bit like being tarred and feathered LOL

Flooring adhesive can be used, but takes ages to dry, and is sticky. It can be thinned with water to a working consistancy.
But, I'ld suggest a liquid latex for your purposes. (searching liquid latex will get you lots of options)

Search out some real latex, it's great!! Easy to work with, and you can do a ton of stuff with it. It can be a bit costly but it really does go a long way and it's worth it. I tried the floor adhesive once and was not impressed in the least. I figure if you go through the trouble to make a prop it's worth the effort to find the best material for it.

I believe it was Cassie who recently posted a cheap blucky skull covered in the carpet adhesive and she convinced me it works great. If you can't find her post here it might be in Tutorials.
Latex might be better but I like cheap even more

You can get a gallon of mask latex, which is the best stuff for making skins and corpsing for under $40 shipped.
