Anyone know where to get large amounts of Spanish moss? I was looking on eBay but everyone there seems to sell live Spanish moss. I'm a little hesitant to buy it because I thought I remember reading somewhere about making sure the moss is dried and fumigated so it doesn't have and bugs in it. Can anyone recommend somewhere where I can by this stuff?

    Thanks

I think I can rember Michales having it. Probaly any floral shop that has silk flowers and things like that. Also I would think Hobby Lobby might have some.
    Can you stake my heart?

Garden Ridge sells it in bags. Not in bulk, though.

I get mine of the trees in my neighbors yard.
Never seen any bugs, allthough I would not think that it would be that hard to treat.
But then again it does not come inside and I throw it out when I am done.

It's everywhere here. I mean I could easily get a 100 pounds from one of my trees. It's got chiggers in it, which, if your not careful can bite a little. If you wanted I could mail you as much as you want. No lie (well... depending on regulations of the mail...).

I think last year we got a bunch at Big Lots - but that was closer to Halloween. I don't think they normally have it.
Micheal's would be a good bet.
I have never seen it in bulk either....someone needs to do that!

We've got tons of it around here too.

Last year, I actually used scrap black fabric swagged onto a few branches of my trees. In the weird lighting, it looked like spanish moss.
