To me it looks like his legs are behind the whole prop and it's got a cutout in it where he could just lean over and drape his coat over the prop to blend in with it. I could be wrong though.
Looks good though. Why rule the living when you can control the dead.

Definitely sticking out the back. He even looks like he's leaning forward a bit.

In another forum...everyone agreed that it was done with angled mirrors running from the back corners to the middle...the actor could then stand in the triangle created by the mirrors....however if it is mirrors the reflection doesn't seem to match the side walls, also do you think the mirrors would be at a 45 degree angle?

I also disagree about the mirrors, he's standing behind the prop. Note the shirt and entrails are all the way at the back of the prop, not hanging in the middle. He's just leaning over the back wall.

Looks to me like it is done with two mirrors set at a 45 degree angle - if you look at the floor you can see the mirror edges. The guts hide where the two mirrors meet. the actor stands on a platform in the V created by the two mirrors. The mirrors provide an optical illusion that the guy is hanging in the middle of the box with his guts hanging below. While it could be done with just painted plywood - to get the full illusion mirrors are required.

Sorry, but if it were mirrors, then you'd see some amount of reflection of the coat in the mirrors no matter what the angle of the glass. So IMHO he's leaning over the back of the prop box.

I know how! This is actualy what I did at the haunted house at six flags. This is just a longer version of it. The one I was in was just a box on a stand about 4 ft. high. It is a trick with mirrors at 45degree angles at the back. The live actor is behind the mirrors while the fake body is right in the middle of the two mirrors. The sides of the box should be painted to mach well so the reflect in the mirrors. For the one that I was in it was the torrso of a corpse you could see the pelvic bone and the spine and part of the ribs, but than the rest turned in to bare corpsy flesh. The costume I wore did NOT go over it rather the corpsy flesh part conected to me and straped around my neck. It's really hard to explain and I wish I had a picture. The thing about this effect is that you can NEVER let your arms hang down because than they will be seen in the mirrors. Thats why you have to rest them on the top of the box. Heres a diagram I drew up so you might get a better understanding.

I hope this helps! once you get it down its a great effect. Alot of people thought I was a robot at first, but when they realised I was real, they freaked out!Can you stake my heart?
