I would say yes BUT you have to keep it away from any moving parts. You don't want to glue his mouth shut.

Did this last year, trick is to make sure that the skin you connect the jaw and the cheek together with has some slack and don't attach anything directly on the hinge. Movement was reduced, but I'm happy with the end result.

This was my first attempt at using the Di Stefano method as well.

I used mache and Paperclay to turn a Boris into a witch for a display this year. Here's some pics:

wow Im impressed!! those both look fantastic!! Im going for a much simpler look.. just a little texture and aging so he doesnt look like he came right out of the box.

Did you cover the speaker and on/off switch?

I covered the speaker, as I'm using a louder external speaker for the sound, and kept the microphone attached for the movement and the leds. Yep, his eyes still glow red behind all the latex stringing in his eye sockets. His hair covers the on/off switch and the open base. His neck is attached where the battery plate used to be.

My Boris is hacked to use an MP3 player for the sound source and a set of computer speakers. The internal speaker is disabled, but I didn't need to cover it with the mache, nor is the On-Off switch covered. The witch will be wearing a shawl or hooded robe and will have a bunch of tangled hair so that no part of the Boris skull will be visible except for the sculpted face.
