Does anyone know if the following Gemmy can be hacked in such a way to say custom things from a CD Player/Ipod or other audio input device?
If so, can you send me instructions, etc.?
Thanx

Looks like it uses the same Gemmy skulls I've seen hacked before, so I think it can be done.

You should be able to find the two wires that go to the speaker. Then solder them to the terminals of a mono 1/8 inch female audio jack. (Radio Shack has them.) Then plug in your CD player or MP3 to play whatever sound you want on the speaker.
If you get no sound, swap places with the two wires and that should work.

You'll also need to hack in the jaw motor. See this thread:

In DTG's explanation, not only would the eyes not light up, but the jaw won't move either. Nless you have a mic input already in the skull, yes, you will need a seperate circuit to make it work. The easist kind of hacks are for those skulls that a mic or an audio jack already built in for custom audio input. If not, you gotta put in your own custom audio circuit. Scary Terry's website has a nice circuit diagram and you may even be able to purchase it from Cowlacious.

Sorry--didn't mean to confuse anybody. I didn't know his jaw actually moved, since it didn't say it in the description.
It just said "Features spooky sounds".

; sounds as though I would need a separate circuit board
