I just finished a couple props that Id like to use outdoors... any tips on how to weather/water proof them?? They are styrofoam wig heads covered in painted floam. Im working on another one using model magic fusion and Id like to seal it too if possible. I have some polyurethene (sp) would that work??

I'm not familiar with those paints. Do they seal the styrofoam? Are they waterproof when they dry?
Before trying your poly, test on the bottom of a wig head to see what will happen if some leaks into the foam.
Valspar makes a clear latex that should not eat the styrofoam. Once it's dried, it should be completely weatherproof. Kinda expensive I think. Ace has it.Please check my 2011 Haunt album here on HF. http://www.halloweenforum.com/member...ween-2011.html

Acrylic or latex paints dry to a polymer coat - plastic, basically. If you use those, you should have a pretty waterproof prop (depending on how good you are at complete coverage!

Last year I tried painting on Shellac as a sealer over acrylic paint for my pumpkin monster head, and the Shellac made the acrylics run all over the place. So...don't do that!
