Put some finishing
touches on the chest
and got it lit up today...










All and all I really
think the ToTs will like it.

Looks great! We're working on some ourselves, what did you use for the gems?

I bought the jewels and coins on ebay. I also used some glass bead/marble thingies from Wal Mart and Michaels.
Michaels had some really cool black ones that look great in a silver cup.


Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I put a short string of blinking rice lights in my treasure, it really made it look cool.

I like yours though - what lights did you use?

I did it by building the box (caulk and paint the inside white first) with a shelf.
I, then drilled holes in the shelf and glued the jems over the holes.
I cut a acess door in the back of the chest and screwed a spot light holder to the bottom.

I wanted to use, and bought, a 90count LED bulb but it was not bright enough, so I used a regular 100watt bulb. I am most likely going to get a couple more LEDs to better distribute the light.

Wow, looks cool! I might have to add another project to my ever-growing list!

That light sure makes those gems "pop". Very nice noahbody.
