How would I go about weathering some bottles or glass. I was planning on using them for a Tia Dalma type setup, if that helps at all.

you could probably use that fake snow/frost that people spray on their windows around the holidays (here) to create a foggy or scratched effect.

Good question. I was wondering about the same thing. I would also like to age/add smoke to lantern glass.
Any other tricks out there? Thanks!

You can sand the glass and then paint (spray or other) to look old and weathered.
Just be careful and go slow. the glass will scratch and have a place for the paint to stick.

A coarse sand paper and mud should do the trick for the bottles. For the lantern glass, if you can take it out you could pass it over a candle flame, or if you can take the bottom or top off you could hold the whole lantern over the flame. You could also try a thin layer of oil or vaseline and dust it with black and brown eyeshadow.

For my lanterns I use a product you spray on that makes the glass look like it is frosted them use a very small spritz of black spray paint to add smoke.
I do like idea of the spray glue and fine dirt or you coud use loose face powder.

hehehe....
If the bottles aren't going to be touched, moved around, or handled on a regular basis, that would seem the most authentic looking if your talking about bottles that have been neglected.
Otherwise, like others have said, spray paint and soot (putting fire to the bottle) would work, but those get messy and scratch off easy.
TO THE DIRT FARM!

After you age them, just give them a quick once over with a matte sealer and you are set.
