HELP - Anyone know where to purchase old 55 gallon (or about) and 30 gallon wine barrels? I have spent the better part of two hours searching locally in Southern California. Plenty in Northern California but they want $100 to ship down here!!!

    Just need three!!!!

Thanks for the information. Used barrels was okay, but they would not combined shipping!!!!

I'm heading over to Cucamonga to look at some barrels there!!! From what I gathered, they have been in storage for almost 30 years... no idea what they are going to look like... I hope old, but in good condition. And price is right - free!!!!

Building a prop where the barrel explodes and a skeleton hops out!!!

That would be so great!!!!! Keep me posted. The one's in Rancho Cucamonga are junk... decayed, broken straps, etc.

    Thanks

That is one of the perks of living in wine country. I have 5 wineries in walking distance from my house. I already have 8 in reserve. They sell them for $20 a piece. I can pick them up at the end of August, after their bottling process.

They spray them down once, but I'll need to take them home and scrub them down.

Also, I know these are smaller than what you are looking for but the keg/barrels that I got from tractorsupply.com are great. They are on clearance now, with free shipping (over $25) I think it costs the company more to send them to me than I paid. I also picked up a ship's bell and wagon wheels for a couple of ship helms. It is worth checking out.

hey guys...I am in need of 10 barrels and they don't have to be all treated, pretty much the older the better. Where can I find some for dirt cheap?
And the one in Rancho Cucamonga, which one is that? Can you please give me the name, I'll take anything as long as it's still in one piece .
