I mentioned early on that I was using the Animated Lighting (AL) servo controller board.
I took the power supply advice and purchased a deep cycle 6V RV battery. Clean pure DC power. Problem still occured. AL got re-engaged and they were able to duplicate the problem, but were not able to resolve it. They will be providing a refund for the servo board.
I'm running digital servos, so I aquired a lynxmotion ssc-32 board, as it will drive digital servos. Now I'm waiting for the VSA group buy to happen so I can start playing around.
I'm disappointed that the AL solution won't work as now my lighting controllers and my prop controller won't be syncronized to the same audio file. My light controllers are just standard AL lighting controllers not the DMX ones so it doesn't appear that I can use VSA to control those.
Anyway thanks everyone for your help, but it turns out to be a problem with the board that cannot be corrected, so moving on.
Now I have two power supplies (a 7.5V regulated and my new 6V battery), may need to dream up some more props to use both.....

Well, I got VSA through the group buy and the lynxmotion SSC32 did some motion capture and hooked everything up, for one of my guitar players.
The video quality isn't great and the skeleton isn't staged, so you can still see the wires and the pan/tilt mechanism on his neck. I decided to go with a two axis skull plus jaw instead of the three axis. I know, taking the easy way out but this is my first year with servos.....
