Here is the magic mirror I have been working on:

I have been working on this for over a year now, believe it or not. (of course I have a new baby in the house) I bought the mirror for $1 at a garage sale last summer, I think it was a coffee table. I recognized right away that it was a 2-way mirror, and knew I wanted to build a mirror like this. I immediately got to work and cut the pieces for the box, jigsawed out the opening for the mirror and routed the inside to fit the mirror. The I dropped the mirror in the box and caulked it in. Then it set for a year. This year I found the light for it, so I started back up on it. I had a couple bags of bones from big lots, so I split them down the middle with my band saw and glued them on.
Next - I need to paint, rig the inside lighting and relay and finish putting on the rear door. I am trying to decide if I want to do a base with legs or some thing for it.
Then I need to figure out what prop goes inside. I built it so the prop on the inside could be changed out easily.

I have finished the mirror, I decided to build a base that housed the motion sensor and other electronics. Here it is in all it's glory - I also dressed a blucky to go inside the mirror. I made the armor out of ceral boxes, the trident was very ugly red plastic I got at a yard sale. I just rust painted the trident and the cardboard armor.
Thanks to Otaku for the help getting the motion sensor to work!- Brad

That is an awesome prop man! I bet you get a lot of attention with that one!!!
I wander if there is a way to use the same idea but instead of using the bucky using a BIG picture of a reaper with its arms out holding a sickle. AND when you stand in front of the mirror after a second or two the light comes on inside very slowly fading in from the top but not very bright so when your looking at the mirror it looks like a reaper is standing behind you with its head over you and its arms around the outsides of you.
The light would have to be set just right so that it would fade the reaper at the chest or neck.
Maybe one dim light on the top, and on both sides.....
Just a thought, MAN! you got me little brain working now LOL...
GREAT JOB!
