This all started when I was walking my dog and saw 2 vacuum boxes sitting by the garbage, and I couldn't resist.
Then I decided the best way to do this project was Papier Mache.
I looked online to find a grandfather clock that I wanted to use as a model. And I came across the one from Disney's Haunted Mansion.
I had been looking for a nice wooden foot stool that I could use for the base of it. I found a metal one with just the right style of legs I could incorporate. I did have to do some more mache and plaster cloth work to build it up.
I'm using plexiglass for the face of the clock and where the pendulum is.
Now, I put it all together, it's nice and sturdy and all painted. Just needs to be varnished.
So, this is where I am so far.
Still need to finish the top part, put the pendulum and the face on the clock.
I'm going to have a light inside the face part to light in from inside. The hour hand will be stationary on the 13 and the minute hand will be spinning.

There will come a time when you have a chance to do the right thing.
I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by.
