    Default Coffin Drink Cooler – 06-30-2008,04:28 AM


    My husband built these coffins for last year's party. The kids loved them! One was an insulated drink cooler and the other we used to hold candy.

    These are really cool! Are they made of wood? What did you use on the inside to insulate them for the drinks? I would love to have one of these for my drinks.

    Yes, they are made of wood. 1 x 12 sides and 1/2" plywood top and bottom. Insulation is 3/4" pink foam board. He caulked the inside as well. If you need more info, I will have him message you when he gets home from work.

    My husband made a coffin for me last year for drinks too (sorry no pics), but of course I didn't think about the insulation - we lined it with plastic, so it didn't keep cold very long. This year I'm adding the styrofoam/caulking to it. Your coffin looks real nice and it reminds me that mine needs a cross too.
