Does anybody know where I could get cheap Mp3 players online or in a store? They don't need much storage space at all..just a few songs. Thanks.

I bought a couple of these...

DisneyOutlet.com: Jack Skellington Digital Mix Sticks MP3 Player

I know there are other mp3 players at the Disney outlet that are in the ten to twelve dollar range. I just like Jack.

Is the goal to add a voice to your haunt's characters? You have to add amplified speakers for an MP3, so why not just go to wall mart or target and find the cheapest cassette / cd player (mini boom box) they have? Watch for them as loss leaders at drug stores too. Burn your own cd / tape and viola.

I also found some solidstate remote controlled, recorder/players that I use in a couple of places in my haunt. One is inside the mask of a guy who looks to be trapped under the car with his legs kicking. I hit the remote when people are walking up and he screams for help. A hit every year.

I agree with the above post.

I have some cheap sansa mp3 players that work great, but you have to add computer speakers (or some type of powered speaker), so why not just get a cheap boombox? Portable, reusable, and better sounding.

But for what it's worth, WOOT.com constantly has cheap mp3 players, and I see Cheap Ones at Wal-Mart, Circuit City, etc... all the time. Tiger computers, buy.com, ecost.com, overstock.com, etc etc... also.

That is such a good idea! In order to have room in my garage on Halloween night, I was going to put the cars in the driveway and make it look like they crashed. A dummy is going to hang out of one of the doors. Your idea is a perfect addition!!!!!!

Simple too. Jack up one of the rear tires. Place a mask facing the street at the end of a stuffed shirt. adjust so the shirt tail covers a 4x4 block that is placed under the tire. Make sure the arms are free - one on each side, then lower the jack. In past years I just stuffed some levis and shoved them up against the 4x4. Last year I bought some kicking legs and put the levis over them. I usually scatter a couple of tools around too. The Neighbors know I spend a lot of time under my cars.

This year I bought a wiggling hand with cut fingers that I'm going to add.

The remote controlled box is in the mask. When the button is pushed it says, "Help!! Help!! Get this car off my back!!! Help me!! Help me!!

My driveway slopes to the street, but those who are walking by, still have to bend to look. Everyone "just knows" it's not real, but almost everyone bends down to look at the guy (a John Kerry mask).

My goto for SUPER cheap mp3 players has always been dealmac.com: The best deals on iPod, iMac and MacBook. Locate discount Macs, new and refurbished Apple systems., which always seems to have the best deals on the net. Scroll down and click on the mp3 tab, I think I saw a 4gig for like $20 the other day!

I just bought a 1g Sansa from Woot.com for ... $10 I think it was... I've bought 5 Sansa Mp3's in the past year from Woot and buy.com. All $10 or less. I love these things.

I just bought a Sansa also from buy.com for $10 ($10 off for signing up for an account.) 7 day shipping is free. This is the same model that was offered on Woot.
