Man that stuff sticks to everything...except silicone. I am about to use a couple of cans myself here in just a minute.

Well, guess I just didn't have very good luck because I used it about 2 years ago and it DID NOT stick to the foam sheets.

I even peeled the plastic coating off and stuck toothpicks into the sheet so "achors" but it fell off within 3 days

I was planning on using Great Stuff as "mortar" between the "bricks" on a stone archway I'm building for my FCG's home....thinking it would have a more realistic look than merely routing out the mortar lines with a dremel.

I see two opinions here...one says Great Stuff sticks to the foam, the other says it doesn't. This doesn't make me real confident my strategy is a good one....

Is there a specific type of foam sheet that it works with?

Is there a specific way you have to prepare the foam that makes the Great Stuff not fall off/out?

Great stuff will work just rough this edges some to it has a texture to hold to if the foam is slick or not ever porous it needs some thing to ahear to.
