I am designing several new props for my haunt this year, but my big sticking point are hands. I am particularly interested in decaying skeleton hands which obviously look as close to real as possible. Can anyone recommend a designer or internet site which specializes in hands for props.

Have you tried searching the how-to's? Among many others, Herman Secret did an excellent one on skeleton hands.
I don't want to just scare them... I want to mess them up for life!

Another option is to buy a pair of Bucky hands from Boneyard Bargains and age them/corpsify them. More expensive option, but less labour intensive

    Skeleton Hands

    Start with sculpey clay

Place in your hand where your fingers bend

    Squeeze you hand together

open your hand and there you have a creepy looking skeleton finger

Make 4 more and you have the beginnings of a cool looking hand now pose, bake and paint

    Very simple......

Killyaquick that is an interesting concept. Do you have pictures to show more details of how you would finish the hand?

Killyaquick, that's a great idea, awesome looking hands! How did you do the palm of the hand, just the clay?
I have flying monkeys- and I'm not afraid to use them!

Oooooooooooooooo! Killyaquick, those are SWEET. Do you think that using Crayola Model Magic to make them would create cool, super light hands?
