Does anyone no of a small "prop track" like the attacking alligator rides on. I need something that is no more than 6 in. wide x 6 in. long. I can make something custom if need be, I'm just a little short on work space and time.

How about a drawer slide? You don't need to use the entire extended length and they're very narrow.

Okay, her's what I got so far. I plan on making a picture of some scary dude on some sort of stretch fabric, probably old nylons. I'm going to cut and stitch eye holes for some servo activated eyes on a flexible mount for a 3D look. I will then have a translucent skull, probably clear urethane, on a track with a strobe light mounted to the back. When the skull motor or servo(not sure which yet) is activated, the skull will move forward and push the eyeballs and skull into the photo so it protrudes in a 3D outline on the picture side. The strobe and the stretched sheer material should allow the skull to "glow" through the painting. I've attached some juvenile pictures for reference. What do you guys think?
