I'm looking to buy, or make a stand for a bucky skeleton. The rolling stand won't work because it doesn't allow the feet to the ground which makes it look unrealistic. I'd like to buy or build a stand that connects to the pelvis like the rolling one. My problem is that my bucky is packed away pretty well. Does anyone have instructions on how to do this? If not, does anyone have their bucky handy to take some photos of the pelvis? Or better yet, if you have the rolling stand, can I get a picture of the top of the stand that connects to the pelvis. I'd like to recreate it, but still be able to control the height of the rod so that I can make it short enough for the feet to touch the ground.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I've already searched the monster list, but found nothing regarding this.
Thanks!

Ok. This is not exactly what you were looking for but it does make a Bucky stand on his feet:

(I have been using this method for the last 2 years without any problems.) Maybe you can adapt it?Something wicked this way comes...

Thanks for the post WW! The link you posted was the only other attempt at a stand that I was able to find on the net. This is my backup plan for now, but I was kind of hoping to be able to connect to the spine of the skeleton so that I could build a shorter stand and be able to bend the legs at the knees a little. I'm trying to find a way to use a Bucky with my pirate wheel. Connecting to the base I think would provide the best opportunity. I might be best off digging out my Bucky and checking everything out myself. I just wish I could figure out how the pre-fab stands connect to the spine without having to buy one.
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Do you have any stores closing near you? Around we've had a bunch close, and they sell everything right down to the fixtures. You might be able to get a sitting manaquin stand that attaches from the...uh...backside up.

'mate, why naught use rebar? th' steel bar tha's embedded in concrete? Pick it up, in various lengths, from HomeDepot/Lowes? Hammer it inta th' ground, an' use zip ties ta strap th' spine to th' rebar.. ya ken make th' skelly stand, kneel, do wotever..

That's a thought Captn, but my wife probably wouldn't want me to hammer rebar into my living room floor.
Just kidding. It's definitely a great idea and I would use it if I was putting this prop outside, but it's an indoor party prop for now. Very good thought if I go outside with it though!

I used a small pole lamp with a Thrifty skeleton. It couldn't go any shorter than you see here,
HalloweenGallery.com - Talking skellys/Standing 640
so I used a small box to support the feet. Hit the thrift stores and see what they got.I...have many names...

Still not what you are looking for but it might factor into your backup plan:

Here's one that says it attaches to the spine:
Bucky Skeleton Stand | Anatomical Charts, Anatomy Models and Anatomical Models
I will be designing a stand for my buckys in a few weeks. I'll post the results here.
The stand I posted looks like it holds bucky up a little high, but I'm sure that can be modified.
I'll keep looking.

Here is astand I have for a Bucky I got at Spirits Halloween store last year

here you can see the 2 hooks that cradel the ribs on both sides of the spine

that part fits into a pole and that in a second pole

and finally into the stand
here you can see the full stand

here is how the two hooks fit under the bibs in the back
