I just wanted to share some new props I purchased this week! I'm pretty excited about it because they're going to add some great realism to my graveyard.![]()
I purchased the cherub a few weeks ago, but thought I'd add it to this thread too. Each still needs to be weathered, the angel and cherum more so than the gargoyle. I'm pretty excited about all 3 though!

Did you get them all at Walmart?

No, I wish because the other two would've been much cheaper. Only the cherub was from Walmart.
The angel was purchased at Home Goods. I kept going back to her and knew that had I not purchased her, I would've regretted it. She's actually pretty tall, I'm guessing 26" or so.
I got the gargoyle at Card & Party Warehouse. This particular store has little backroom storage and a ton of floor space, so most of their halloween decor stays out year 'round. Their shelves are not near as full as before Halloween, but I occasionally find something I want. This little guy was a very pleasant surprise. I'd never seen him before anywhere, and they gave him to me at 50% off which was unusual. They normally charge full price all year except for November. He was still pretty pricey even with 50% off, but again, I know I'd have regretted not getting him later.
Not being at home right now, I'm guessing he's about 28".

Oooh, that gargoyle looks wicked, you definitely need to put him in a place where people will see him at close range. You're right, you would have regretted it if you hadn't bought him as 'the one that got away'...
The cherub and angel are very cool too--do you plan on getting any more statues for your graveyard?

Tough question to answer.
I don't plan to get any more, but you never know. I regularly stop at stores to check for these kinds of statues, so if I come across another one I can't pass up, I may get some more.
Especially if it's a fair price. I had my eye on a HUGE garden angel at Tuesday Morning. It had to be 4 or 4-1/2 ft tall, but the price was $149. That's waaaay to much for a single piece. in my opinion. I'd probably wouldn't buy it if it was 50% off either, but if got down to $50... SOLD!!

I have GOT to gets me some of those!!!
The third largest flea market in Georgia is about a 5 minute drive from my house. I'm planning a trip there this weekend just to try to score some statues. I know they always have at least 5 or 6 vendors who sell nothing but pottery and plaster.
Great score, HH.

Linus: You've heard about fury and a woman scorned?
Charlie Brown: Yes, I guess I have.
Linus: Well that is nothing compared to the fury of a woman who has been cheated out of tricks or treats!

But Herman, just think of how many people are completely freaked out by big fat hairy spiders coming out of gargoyles.
