I found at home depot a gel stain that worked very well with syraphome and plastic. Minwax Gel Stain, I used aged oak to achieve what I was looking for and maybe you guys are looking for the same look as I. The skull I applied two coats to, and I applied the stain with a chip brush and then wiped off soon after. You could even reapply if needed to your desired results. I took a picture at night to give you the night time look of the color. These were close to white when I started. This is Minwax and it costed about $12.00 a quart and goes a long way. Let me know what you think?

Yeah, it does look exceptional! I'll have to try that technique on my egyptian mummy as I'll want the skeleton to look aged as well. I'm looking for a skeleton to corpse, are the bones/skeleton you used flat on the ground or are they 3-D? If anyone can suggest a good place to pick up a skeleton to corpse this time of year, I'd be greatful for the advice. I'm new to buying major halloween props....thanx

Yellow Moon, these are just some cheap bones I got from kmart last year on clearance after halloween $5.00 for the bag of bones. You can find all kinds of skeletons on either this forum or ebay. Depending on the type, I just bought one from a site on ebay, Search Bucky Skeleton, they range from $79.99-$250.00 depending on the quality 1st thru 4th. We use 4th quality, but they may have some issues with them broken chest bone or discolored bone here or there, missing teeth but it makes it better for the look. Good Luck, let me know if you need the name of where I bought mine.

I use Minwax to corpse all my bluckies (haven't splurged for an actual Bucky yet). I use Golden Oak color and it seems to have similar results as your pics. Nice work.
