Great Stuff Spider

My neighbor across the street has been getting into my annual Halloween setup. Two years ago, he brought me some pvc piping and pipe insullation and thought I could make a giant spider from it. I know that most everyone has made a pvc spider, however, for the body of the giant spider. I took a different approach. I tied a 18" balloon to a less filled 12" balloon. I then sprayed Great Stuff in lines across the balloons until most all of the balloons were covered. I had to wait until this first process was dry and then flipped the balloons over and finished covering the balloons.

After it was completely dry, I then attached the PVC legs to the bottom and spray painted it black. I then sprayed more Great Stuff over the pipes attached at the bottom and finished painting With the legs positioned just right (I used a picture of a real spider) and the giant spider sitting on my 20 foot web, it looked very realistic.

The great stuff was amazing and has held up pretty good. It has survived two years and will be displayed again this Halloween.
