We used air cannon one year, it ran on gas, sounded used like cannon fire without all the smoke, etc.

oops "air valve solenoid" I meant. I got mine from ebay. They are used for truck air horns. They are made for high pressure, machined out of brass and won't explode and kill people like sprinkler valves.
