Looks great.. You could have the arm with the machete move as well before it lunged which would give more of a scare..

Thats a good Idea about the arm moving. that shouldn't be to hard. the way I made it the arms are detachable so I could put the cloths on I could add a simple mech with a 4" stroke piston.

I think it would make people think it was the prop from spirit so they would be off guard especially when it lunged forward

There are allot of pics on my web shots album here jason voorhees pneumatic halloween prop pictures from friends & fun photos on webshots . Yes it is a double acting 3/4 inch cylinder with a 12 inch stroke (found on ebay for $10) That is hooked up to a 4way 12vdc Pneumatic solenoid valve and the incoming air is controlled by a regulator/filter that drops the line pressure from 150 psi to just above psi going to the piston.the whole thing is mounted to a PVC setup that is only for testing purposes .everything you see in the pic that is PVC or wood will be replaced with 1/2 square steel tubing for safety. (it is just easier to use PVC as a mock up than expensive steel and welding) there are two pivot points one at Jason's back and the other where the cylinder mounts to the wood base this way the setup only requires 6 inches of clearance behind his back when not activated so it is really easy to conceal. the only thing the pics dont show is the 12 cans of great stuff it took to make his body. Hope this helps you if you have any other questions feel free to ask!
