I know theres a difference between the pink and blue insulation foam (for tombstones), can someone tell me which ones better. My home depot is selling the pink foam for the same price as the blue at lowes, and I'm going out tomorrow night to pick it up! Which one!? which one!?

I've used both and there is no way I could tell you what the difference is. They cut the same, paint the same, and they're the same density. The COLOR of the blue might be easier to cover than pink, but that's about it.

I use the blue because it's what is available to me. I don't think there is a "difference" for what you are going to use it for, props.

Blue and pink are pretty much the same just different companies that make them. Its the white beaded foam that is different

There is no difference between the pink and blue foam.

    They are different manufactures.
Most of the time I've seen the blue with a think plastic layer on one side, which should be removed before cutting. Its easily peeled off the entire sheet

The white foam can also be used. I've heard it is far easier to work with using standard woodworking tools. I will be trying to use white foam soon to cover a prop I'm building.

Yup they are the same product made by two different manufacturers. Pink foam is made by OwensCorning and blue foam is made by Dow.

I always see pieces every so often that have corners smashed off them or 4x8 sheets broken in half.

Talk to the store managers and ask them to reduce them. I've done it. It works!

While we're on the topic of foam, I just wanted to say that I use the white stuff for my tombstones and I've had no problems with it at all. The reason I bring it up is that you may be able to find pieces of the white stuff for cheap or free. I get my foam for free from a company that takes giant foam billet and cut styrofoam inserts to install behind vinyl siding. They typically have 1”-3” pieces left over that are about 3' square. I found this place by looking for foam manufacturers in my area yellow pages and then made a couple of phone calls. You guys should definitely try that; it could save you a ton.
