I want to do 4 large (16x20) haunted portraits. The kind that follow you when you pass by. Does anyone know where I can find some good looking old portraits that can be used for this? Since it will be under low light, I don't think it has to be the best resolution, just something that is pasable off a laser printer. I think I'm looking for something like a mean looking 60ish victorian-style woman, old rich grumpy great grandfather type, stuck up rich uncle type, you know the sort.
Help me out if you know where I can find these.
Thanks!!

There will come a time when you have a chance to do the right thing.
I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by.

Try looking in google images for portraits. You can use the advanced search tool to make sure you only receive images of a certain size. Try different search words like "portrait," "old portrait," "scary portrait," etc. I received several interesting results when I searched for "victorian portrait" using the advances search with the file size set to large and extra large. I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for...hope this helps.

I'VE GOT THE BEST ONE FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!
HAUNTEDPORTRAITS,COM
This guy makes great stuff...very old looking!!! Some of the pictures are a little silly, but you've got to find the right ones.
I bought a big portrait of "granny hazel" and put it in a an nice ornate frame. What made it look reall old, was that I had the picture set behind an oval cut matting, that is black felt like material. The portrait has kind of a shine to it, so this took away all of that. It looks awesome, and I will get a picture of it loaded up tonight. Also, check out some of my photos under "looking for tombstones" thread.Whatta ya mean "no blood pressure, no pulse?"

Howdy
The Main #1 thing is the highlights in the eyes. Whatever pic you use, especially if its a real photo, is put the highlights exactly in the same place and same size in your painting as the original and make them bright. If there are more than 1 highlight, put them all in there. That makes the eyes look round and they will appear to follow you.
