I know alot if you have been following the Halloween Bob Thread and are doing the Talking Numbskulls*

so I thought I would share with you a way to mount them on a PVC Frame.
I think everyone know how to make the standard Frame but if Not I will post a drawing just in case.

Instead of using the foam head tho we are going to mount the talking Skull.
You will need a PVC straight connector and connector top. you can buy this at Lowe's or Home Depot.

Drill a hole in the connector top the size of your threaded rod, slide this into the cap.Put a nut inside the cap on the rod, and on one top of the cap to hold the rod in place. get them tight as you can without breaking the cap.
then place this on your pvc neck post and screw it in to anchor it. I also put a screw in the cap top at the side of the connector to hold them tight. and there you have it plug in the prop and watch it talk.

then you will have trouble shutting it up lol.

I have a (perhaps dumb) question about working with PVC pipe. I've never done so before, but I'm thinking my first prop will be done with the help of PVC pipe.

The question is this - will a normal handheld drill work to drill a hole through the pipe? I see lots of people use a drill press to do this. I don't have one, but I do have a handheld power drill. Will it cut through PVC pipe?

Hi, Yes you can use a regular hand drill like skil or Black and Decker or even your dremel drilll . we use 1/2" pvc pipe for most our props then when we make the bodies out of chicken wire and duct tape and when it all done you hammer re-bar in the ground and slide the pvc man legs down over the rebar and stand him up he looks like he is standing on his own then.,
On my website you will find may how to's to make this bodies just click my banner. Hugs.

ps and good one to follow if you are making a man bodies or female would bre in the tutorail section click on Uncle Ernie the Grave Digger.

If you need anything else just scream ,lol I bought a pipe cutter at Lowes .For about $10.00 made to cut PVC pipe.Makes the job faster and easier. Home Depot would have them too. make the neck Pipe about 6" and then judge the rest by human size measurements. I know you will have fun, so getting the pipe cutter will be a good idea if you don't have one, its like Lay's potatoes chips you just cant make one..lol hugs

ps I don't remember see you around Welcome to the Gang here !!! May you haunt till your heart is content.
oh one more thing you will need about 10' 6" of1/2" pipe to make a man cost maybe $3.00 + the fittings I go to lowes cause its close to my house.
The pipe is in the plumbers section , duct tape in the paint section , chicken wire in the garden section and and the great stuff I used is in the lumber section, so you don't have to hunt all over to find this items they should be at home Depot too. in the same places lol
