I finally got my (zero-axis) Joke Telling Boris skulls put together this weekend. Many thanks to Otaku for his Boris modification tutorial and to several forum members for help in using the Audacity program. I'm looking forward to putting these guys to use in my yard next Halloween.
It's amazing what you can do with a couple of Talking Boris skulls, some parts from Radio Shack and an MP3 player.
I highly recommend this project to anyone thinking of doing it.

Great job, I did one a few months ago. How did you do two? Are you using two MP3 players? Do let us know and thanks.

It's probably one mp3 player in stereo...two seperate channels, two Boris skulls.

Yes--the Dr. is correct. I got the joke files off the web, then used Audacity to split the tracks into LEFT/ RIGHT.
If you have another skull to use, I can try send you the MP3 files I'm using that I already split into L/R.
Then you just need an adapter from Radio Shack to hook up both skulls.

I'll probably mount them on partial skeletal bodies. Either have them lying side by side on top of graves or both in partially ground-breaking coffins.
(Something similar to Necrobones talking skeletons on last year's Hauntforum DVD where he just had the skulls on top of their scattered bones, talking to each other.)
