Oh gosh...let's see, every year we make a budget of about 2-3 hundred including the wood to build the haunt, which is verrryyyy expensive. We probably end up spending a good 7-8 hundred on everything. I guess the good part about that though, (if there is even one!) is that this year we won't have to spend much money on anything but wood because we have so much from previous years.

Well I am like most of the guys out here and never stop building props so it's hard to but a real ### on things but I do give myself a $50 monthly building expense and I would say I spend about $500 on props through out the years and then about $300/$400 at Halloween so it's hard really to say lol but I do try to save where ever I can but it's so hard not to buy the next new thing that comes out....Propaholic what can I say.....lol

Dr. Morbius I love being cheap. Since my husband is retired, and I retired early we have learned so many new ways to live the frugal life. There are so many ways to do what you want without spending a lot of money. That's what I love about this forum, you can learn so many ways to build props that don't require a lot of money but look fabulous.

I wish I could learn this trick. Whenever I make plans to build something myself which is often, by the time it's all said and done, it ends up costing me three times more than I originally planned... and I'm in finance. Go figure.
