Just got another update of pictures of my cemetery fence and columns. So far so good. I'm happy with the basic turn out so far.

I only made 2 columns for now. What I did for the fence was use 8' sections of 1 x 2's, drilled holes every 8". My fence pickets are 30" and 36". In the middle of the 8' run, at the 4' mark, I used a 36" piece of pvc. I also plan on connecting 4 runs of fence with 36' rails. I dropped these down to about 1' off the ground and I'll use rebar to reinforce and hold it in place. All the other rails are 30" long, and I staggered every other one to give it a little different feature. one of them is 4 1'4" above the top rail, and the others are 6" above the top rail.

I'm hoping to find a little time to make a decent tutorial. I just need to finish sanding the bottom, priming and painting it. Trying to decide on colors though.

My wife is actually getting into this, and is wanting to put siome type of light on the top. Any ideas on that?

I'm also looking for finials, I like the skull whistles used to put on top. Just need to find the link to order them, or go to our local party store, but I doubt they'll have them this early.

Looks great! Big and Beefy Columns!

Are you going to age the stone before or after you paint?
