I would love to age them, if only I knew how. I've been searching around trying to find a decent tutorial on aging...guessing it's the same as tombstones, but I haven't done that yet either. I got them made, just not weathered.
The whole aging process that I've seen makes me nervous, flaming the surface to distort them. I was thinking of painting them a couple different tones and using that speckled spray paint to give it some texture.
There is never enough room in my garage...I have so much stuff crammed in there. I'm always rearranging it to give me more room.
Now I have to find a place to store these until October...either that or I could just put them in the yard now and really let them age!!
I'll try working on a tutorial here in the next few days.

Nice job! Spend a little time with a router did ya? It's really looking good. As far as aging them goes I like the way these columns are done Click

Please do me one favor
DON'T EVER USE AN OPEN FLAME NEAR FOAM !
Grab a heat gun and scrap peice of foam to try out first
Start about 12" away with the heat gun and move it back and forth slowly across the surface
heating the foam will release toxic fumes this should be done outside and or with a respirator!
This will add a nice texture to the stones
Try it on some scraps first to get the hang of it, and try not to leave the heat gun in the same place for very long, the longer you leave it there the more will "decay" and your foam will disapear!
Let me know how it works!- The Crypt Keeper

They look really good. I am just jealous that you are still able to re-arrange stuff to get more working room. I have these narrow paths between stuff, and any re-arrangement would only spell DOOM!

Yout columns and fence look great. I have some columns I will be selling at the Midwest Haunters Convention in June. If anyone is interested come and check them out. Booth 301 and 303 right inside the main front doors.

Actually, I don't have a router, but I need one. I used a dremel tool on the bricks... Once I got the technique down I could whip out a side in about 20 minutes....what slowed me down is that I have a cheap knock off version of a Dremel tool and it's battery operated...killed the battery after one side. Had to charge one at the same time...it was slow.
I just got back from Wal-Mart and actually found a mistint pint of paint that will look perfect for the areas in between my bricks... I also bought a kerosene lantern, I thought I could somehow put it on top, but it's kinda tiny for my columns...I'll see what I can look around with and do.
I like the water stain look on those pillars that Mr. Unpleasant linked too...I just have to figure out how to do it to mine...
I'm kinda sad...nearly complete with this project, and noting to move forward too.Why rule the living when you can control the dead.
