I just acquired five Dell power supplies and have been chasing the pin outs for three days. The problem is that these are basically ATX supplies, but Dell, in their infinite wisdom decided to make the wire colors and pin outs proprietary. I think the grey wire(pin 11) is the 'power on' signal and the orange wire is the 'power good' signal. I am not having any luck at all getting this supply to power up full on. If I short the grey wire and immediately give 5 volts to the orange wire, I can get the fan to come on in a less than useful rpm. Anyone out there with a little "Dell" knowledge? Am I beating a dead wolf or do I have a shot at making these power supplies work for me?
