So I finally got my my first prop of 08 almost done. This is also my first monster mud prop I have ever done. Now that I got the mud on I'm realizing how heavy this bad boy is gonna be. Its about 7 feet tall so I'm wondering how do other people move around their MM props? I'm guessing I cant just bear hug it to pick it up and move it lol.
I was planning on building two of these but I think I'm just gonna stick to one for this year since I got so many other props I wanna do (3-axis skulls, cemetery fence/columns, tombstones.....)
I'll update this thread with pix of when I do the paint job on it. What do you guys think so far?
(BTW - The lantern will probably be repainted to better match the prop)

I think it looks awesome!!! I want one. =) Is the lantern going to work?
So where did you use the monster mud? What did you use underneath?
Actually a tutorial would be nice on this one.My halloween photos http://s233.photobucket.com/albums/ee50/13mummy/

Just put little casters on the bottom. You can roll it around anywhere you want. Just be careful on grass.
I put casters on my pillars to move em out to the grass but I have to make sure I use wood as a "road" or I break the casters off and have to re-attach them. I have to fix one I just messed up earlier this week.
P.S. This is a good how-to project. I would like to make a couple of these for my cemetery.

great job, I love it, would love to have one like it! Actually, I also have wondered about moving a mm character, I definitely couldn't move it my self. I agree with mummy13, a tutorial would be great.
I have flying monkeys- and I'm not afraid to use them!

He's scary, I love him! I bet he'll be very intimidating after dark at 7 foot tall. Great job, jimmyzdc!!

I move my heavy columns and toepincher by using an old skateboard. I just have to tip my prop up enough to slide the board under and away it goes!

Just a hint to those that love MM...we use to use that and switched to latex. Dip it the same way...SOOO much lighter. We use light colored sheets or burlap and then air brush them.
GREAT JOB...he looks fantastic!!!!!
