Since the bonyard keeps growing and is a yard haunt. I wanted to add at least 2 out door walk through rooms. For room number one we have come up with this prop. The room will be 7' feet long by 5' wide by 6.5' high. The tots will enter straight on and exit to the right at the end. I am not sure what the room set up will be yet but the action will be a 6' high by 4' wide wall of spikes and such coming at them at the end. The wall will be made out of foam along with the spikes using simple 1'' by 2'' for the framing to keep it light. It will come straight at the tots using a scissor prop rig. I came up with a way to make the spikes out of spray foam. Took a piece of paper and rolled it up to a spike shape. Taped the end and filled it with foam. When it set up just take the paper off and there you have it. spikes. So this prop is just getting off the ground and i will keep updating this thread as it comes along. Here are a couple of pics of the wall set up and the first spike i made today.

If you want hollow spikes you might see if you can get a bunch of cotton candy holders/cones. I think they would be the right size and would be quick and lighter. A quick google search later

300 for $10, 1200 for $30 + S&H
or

100 for $6.30.
I have not dealt with either of these companies, but wanted to show you what I was talking about. Just an idea ya know.Later

Wouldn't work in my haunt RS, my prison has folks that have long since passed away (for now).

Sounds cool..... will the wall move toward them from the side or straight on ? Does it move back so they can get out or do they move through quickly before it closes in on them ?
You could even make the spikes out of soft foam, like you use in a couch cushion.... That way if they run into them it will just bend over and not break.
