So all though I am graduating in May (woot!) My school still wants me to help with the haunt for next year (I guess I'm just that good. haha) So they want a demented carnival theme. I know alot of yall have done this sort of thing in the past and I was wondering what you did or what Ideas you have. Of course clowns, thats a big one, but what other things could there be?

Jack-in-the-Box would be my suggestion, goes more with the clown theme but a good variation of the MIB

Here are some that I did last year:
    Three splendid Carnival Props

I bought the Ronald McDonald clown from ebay and freaked him out a bit. I kinda copied one I had seen somewhere else.

The marionette clown was from ebay too. A lot of the vintage clowns are naturall creepy.

The blue and yellow box that you see in the background is the mandatory jack in the box.

Also, I bought an Evil Owen Doll. Put him on a tricycle and had him riding out of a mini circus tent. He was actually just pushed from behind with a long stick, but it worked cool.

When I was visualizing what I would expect at a haunted carnival atmosphere, I was picturing lots of graffiti. Really a run down, dirty, look. This would make for a really easy way to 'set the mood' a couple cans of spray paint is cheap, and you might even be able to find someone on the campus who has some experience 'tagging' to come help.

    Just a thought,

That's a great idea Handy Haunter. There is always someone at a school that could do that.

Ha! your right I could fine a TON of people who can do that. Thats what I thought about too, but tag in flouresent paint and have a whole bunch of black lights. maybe some glow in the dark bubbles too. And a vortex room. Oh and a mirrior room! Could have a whole buch a fun house mirriors that people look in and one of them will be a two way with a clown behind it and he'll be able to activate the trigger. That might work.
