We are wanting to do a room with corpses hanging all over ! the TOTers will have to push thru the corpses to get out!

How would I make about 10-12 hanging corpses that have some weight to them.... I want them to seem real !

Thought about sand bags covered with something ? I want them to also be soft but hard !! know what I mean ? kinda like bone covered with flesh !

They don't have to have any real features.... we thought about putting black hoods over their heads.

Help, I've been mulling this one over and haven't had any solid ideas ! At least solid ideas that are cheap !

If I build it, will they come ?

I got an idea. Take socks (old crummy gym socks would give the rotting smell ) and fill them with sand. Tie 2 together and you have an arm/leg! Now just wrap this with a couple other socks/foam/etc to give it a bit of squish and perhaps a piece of plywood for the torso surrounded by 2 cheap pillows. Cover it with clothing. Slap a hood over it. Throw some scared children with some strobes and scary music and you have a party!

Last year we took old sheets, clothes, anything material and sprayed red paint all over it, then bunched up the material in a jumbled heap, then wrapped saran wrap around the whole thing, or you could use clear duck tape. Hung from trees. Pretty freaky.

Maybe you could stuff old clothes with largish tree branches, perhaps 3 inches in diameter. That would add plenty of weight if you had a branch that big for each arm and leg. Surely you know someone that could use a free tree trimming.

Maybe try using pantyhose for stuffing things in. You can shape them and if you get the stronger ones, they should hold up.

Sounds like we have access to some manequins. ( I dont know if spelled that right)
Problem is ... we have to give them back when were done.... So we cant paint them.
I think if we just add a little padding to them so they arent so hard... this might work.

I havent seen one yet though..... are manequins heavy ?

We made a hang-man out of carpet pieces cut out in the shape of a person. Get some old carpet (EASY to find), lay it out up-side-down, have your "model" lay down on it with their arms at their side & legs almost together, and trace their entire body with a sharpie [fun]. Cut it out with a utility knife, then use this piece as a pattern to cut 4 or 5 more the same size (depending on the thickness). Then cut 2 pieces somewhat smaller (lift the pattern piece up an inch or 2 with scrap wood & trace with the sharpie at an angle). Next cut 2 (or 4) without the arms. Finally, cut a few with just the torso. To finish, stack them all together (in the right order), wrap them with duct tape, dress them as appropriate, and add a mask.

They take a little time, but they are very simple, almost free (tape), and surprisingly realistic-feeling when bumped into.
"Well I guess they were wrong then, weren't they?" I-gor
