Ok, I am doing a room that I need to use something to trigger 2 different props. First there is a set of lockers that I am using a wiper motor to make some of the doors slam open and closed. Then about 10 seconds later I will have a coffin open and a corpse sit up and turn its head. When the coffin opens I want to have a light triggers to shine on it.....

Anyway, I have to trigger all this hopefully from one PIR Motion detector...?

HOW do I do all this ? Thinking of maybe using a prop1 controller.... although I've never used one before... So I need help with this. Thought about a servo for the head turn... and maybe a couple servos to open the coffin and sit up the corpse.

Or would there be a better way. Help !
If not, I need a step by step kinda thing. What would I need? I do have a kit 74... could that be incorporated into it ?
I have a vision just don't know how to do it.

I know you great minds out there could jus rig this up... no proplem.. ME ? well, not so easy...
    Lynn

If I build it, will they come ?

Well I'm not one of those people who can help you with this, but I would love to see the finished product when you are done.

Charlie Brown: Yes, I guess I have.
Linus: Well that is nothing compared to the fury of a woman who has been cheated out of tricks or treats!

You could try a couple of flex event control timers. They can be linked together and can control 110v such as your wiper motor. If you used air instead of servos for the coffin sit up and head turn you can control the valves with them also. To add sound on cue all you would need is a 110v relay hooked to the timer also. I used this set up for our hearse for 08. There are other ways to goabout doing this. But i like the fact that if i decide to move away from the hearse i have a couple of timers i can use on other props. Here is a link to hauntmaster products. Very easy to deal with and rock solid timers. www.hauntmaterproducts.com Here is a video of how i used this set tcontrol our hearse

A Prop1 or Prop2 will perform all those functions Lynn, even the servo control for the head. Between Randy and of course for Jon from efx-tek, there is infinate help available for you here.
As for lifting coffin doors and raising a prop, I'd recommend pneumatics or electric actuators depending on what kind of speed you need.

If you want something that is very easy to work try the Animation Maestro II. It can trigger two different props and has an option for a PIR sensor and sound modules. No need for programing, software or computer cables. More expensive then a prop one controller but not when you figure in the cost of the software, computer and realy kit need to for the prop 1.

If you want something easy to program with two to four channels to operate anything from 9vdc to 110v ac, check out www.frightprops.com for the picoboo mini or boobox mini. They have built in audio repeaters, 2 independent programmable channels you program with push buttons, and you can have one or two trigger inputs. They're small, awesome, and easy to use!! Not sure of your budget, but for 49 - 79 dollars, they're a bargain, and you don't need PLC or computer knowledge to use!!!

Spookineer, I know nothing about an electric actuator !! Whats that ?
Speed isnt much of an issue... medium speed.
I've thought about the prop 1 or 2... Just don't know which.

Craigsrobotics... Would this do all the thing I would need ? Trigger and time a motor for the lockers and trigger a servo on a head and sit up a corpse and open the coffin. Oh and trigger lights and sound ?

Bonemanb, I really don't want to use pneumatics.... I will have some in another spot but our haunt is spread out and I wont have access to another compressor. So I'm looking for a way to raise the corpse and open the coffin without pneumatics.... then trigger and time the lockers and lights and sound.... ??

More commonly known as linear actuators. Thats what I used on my Sandy Claws prop. One to open the coffin doors, and one to raise Sandy Claws up.
They are very strong (several hundred pounds of force) and move fairly slow. Just the right speed for a corpse rising from a coffin.
Some are a bit noisy though, but if abbient noise level is high, not a problem.
