I hope someone can help me I'm still trying to fix my Freddy Krueger again for this year. Maybe somebody can tell me what color of the large resistor is and what is the C22 cap is. The board is located under the foot stand of the Freddy Krueger prop. It would be better if you can take a picture of the board itself, thanks. If you can get the colors of the large resistor please list it from the top to the bottom and it would greatly be appreciated if you can send me photo, please.

I am going to post the links here so you can see the photos of my circuit board, I hope someone can help, thanks.

Looks like something got too much power to the resistor and burned it out.
Replacing the resistor might not be the answer.

I would replace Q4 as well as the obviously burned resistor, the capacitor is probably ok.

If you can figure out the value of the resistor, I would buy a replacement that can handle more wattage (maybe like 5 watts) and solder some long leads on it and place it where it can be cooled better.

I am guessing this resistor is a current limit to a motor, and the driving transistor (Q4) went bad causing the resistor to overheat. You can see it got so hot that it de-soldered itself.

Would wish someone with a working Life Size Freddy Krueger can take a photo of the bottom of their stand. On the bottom of the stand there is a circuit board that is what I would like the picture of, so that way I can fix my Freddy Krueger. It would greatly be appreciated, thanks.

I took the bottom of my leather face, to see if it was the same board -

It is not, but it is similar:

Image of Leather Face Circuit Board - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The large resistor next to the SPK connector is R46 and is 680 Ohms.

C22 on this board is in a different location - value is 220uf 10V

The large transistor is marked Q34 on this board (I think it was marked Q4 on your board) the markings on it are HG B772 C6E

It also looks like your board has a problem with transistor Q23 - it is also in a different location on the leather face board and is marked HSB772 on this board.

    Hope this helps -
    - Brad

I hope the help keeps on coming and thank you all. If someone is willing to trade their working freddy krueger for a new jason voorhees or a new witch with the fogging cauldron let me know, thanks again for the help.
