I came across this picture I want to say while visiting flickr.com searching for cemeteries.

Anyways this would be so cool to do in a yard haunt. Wanted to pass the pic along.. Change the face to skeletons.. You can get the hats at any army surplus store.

If I'm not mistaken this is a famous war monument. Not sure if it would be such a cool idea !!

But the whole idea of a group of skeletons coming at you would definitely be creepy!

This is similar to what I'm doing this year as a matter of fact... No disrespect to the original memorial, as a USMC veteran myself, but it does have potential for a yard haunt.

I have about 4 or 5 skelly's in various stages coming out of the ground and gathering for an apparent onslaught.

    nice pic nonetheless

    Found them!

Do an image search for "rhyolite statues".
    Also, go to http://www.pbase.com/image/75091213
Also, http://www.ghosttowns.com/states/nv/rhyolite.html and half way down there are a couple.

OOOhhh I like those!! Very cool.

GP-I think if you changed it up a bit more, it would be fine. If it resembles actual soldiers too much-you may end up with complaints. The theory is incredible. Very ominous.

    Cool!!!

    TheGothicPrincess,

Yes it is eerie, and it’s frightening, because it’s supposed to be about WAR and how terrible it is for men or women to die in combat. Sorry but it’s not something I would ever put in or want to see in any Halloween haunt. But thats just me and my misserable oppinion.

Sorry slightlymad not even with German soldiers, because WAR is WAR, doesn't matter the side, it's horrible!!!! Just ask anyone who has been in combat.

I agree that I would not use the setting as war, but I like the idea of that many guys coming at you. How there body language is. The color gray.
