What do ya'll think is the best way to age painted stone. I know alot of you age things like your tombstones and crypts. I usually age my tombstones with a water and a little black paint solution but theres just one problem. I need to age 20 ft. high theatrical flats!!! Their painted to look like stone columns for my production of Dracula and theres six of them . Now I just need to age them with out making them look cheesy. Thats a big thing with me for this set, I don't want that cheesy castle look. I want real looking stone pillars. I was just wondering what ya'll use to age your "stone" items and see if I could apply that to this big of a project.
    Can you stake my heart?

i dont know if their is an easy cut corner tip for this task , as i dont think using an air compressor paint gun would work to age them ? you can at least try that and see if it works then do the hole 20ft wall like that ?

best way to age tombstones for me is very diluted paint with water in black and dark green and some lighter green to make a moss effect , or other choice color depending on your stone color ..... i use a spay bottle to get an effect like that or sea sponge .
