Last year I bought a tombstone with a man peeping around.I didn't relize the rain would burn the motor up I assumed it was weather proof. So I am going to replace the motor and was wondering if any motor will hold up to the rain.I was looking at the monster guts windshelid wiper kit would this work or would the power source 12 volt adapter then be a problem.I was just going to buy a wiper moter and use a car battery to power but don't know if this would be safe either.I may just have to cover it in the rain.I know some of you leave animated props out in the rain so how do you do it?Please don't get overly technical use simple terms as I am a begginer in prop building. Thanks

Wiper motors should have no problem in rain.I run several in any weather, just be sure to have waterproof connections and protect the power source. If you use an actual car battery wired to the prop it should be fine in the weather. You should check with seller about various motors to be sure they are waterproof or not.

Anything I put outside I like to cover regardless. Maybe take a moment to make a rainshield... quick and easy.
