Ok its that time of the year where I have a lot of ideas of what to build for halloween. Too many in fact but I guess exploring ideas is part of the fun of haunting...I've been following the bottomless pit threads and was think of making one with a bridge over it, but then I came across this one
http://www.hauntedillinois.com/h4.php
and thought it would be kind of neat especially if you added the hidded scare effect behind one of the mirrors.
Has anyone built something like this? Or seen one at a haunt...Thoughts, comments, suggestions welcome. Just exploring for now.

The flaw with that design is they will see infinite number of themselves as well... the trick is to do it the same way as the bottomless pits.. where you have a piece of two way mirror a foot or more infront of the regular mirror, then it will go on forever and not show their reflection. If you make the second mirror two way as well, dropping the lights between the two mirrors and lighting up behind it you could have an actor appear, but it will be repeated.. but hey they more zombies the merrier!

Now that would be neat to have!

What about a mirror that's not a mirror? Make a window between 2 rooms that are identical but MIRROR IMAGED and put a mirror frame around the window. Would that look like a mirror without the person's image? Instant vampire!

Here this might help you. I dont know what web sight I got this from but I saved it on Word along with many other projects.
"As you can see in the drawing, this hallway is a good addition to any maze, or great to just occupy a hallway between rooms. Mirrors positioned at a 45° angle will not reflect the person's image in the hallway, ceiling and walls are black with white stripes, and the floor is some dark color."
It's pretty much the same drawing plan as you have just put the mirrors at a 45° angle. That should solve your problem with people seeing their reflection. Hope this helps! Can you stake my heart?

Some great feedback, I like the idea of putting a"mirror" only at one end of the hallway. But actually making it like a bottomless pit but only vertical and then making the "second room" like LV Scott said. Then the hallway would look like to goes on forever.
Place the exit door on the side at the mirror end then have a trigger(pressure mat, or IR beam) about half way down so when its triggered it turns off the light behind the 2 way mirror and turns on the light behind the second mirror to reveal a bucky or something, like this
http://halloweenforum.com/showthread.php?t=66146 only vertically.
To reach the exit they have to move towards the scare perhaps making it cycle on and off several times of course with some loud scream or other noise...
