I was looking at a list of possible haunted sites in our state and noticed one called the screaming well. Reportedly over the years, many people fell into the well and died. It is said that you can hear their screams coming from the well.

Might be a neat idea for a prop?

Tought the same thing as soon as I heard the name...would be a cool bottomless pit idea with strategic sound...thanks for sharing!

Perhaps you could alternate the voice on the left to right stero track to give the effect its bouncing off the walls....

I might do this in my bottomless pit !!! Cool idea. Have them scream and say something about not walking over the bridge !!!

Bottomless pit, very faint moans, wails, etc.

Using a trigger (mat, beam?) with a delay. As the victim(s) look into the well, have a VERY LOUD scream and flashing light (or image). For the image, you could cut the lights inside the well, with a projected image from above on the top two-way mirror. Top becomes opaque with a horrible visage on it.

A successful haunt is where you get at least one pair of messy undies each year.
