hey everyone i need a little help here i can't decide weather to do a animated pirate seen or a animated hearse. please help i like both but they both sound good.

lol I kinda did both so I can help you either way... whats your yard like? ... and whats your ideas for what you want for each theme?

My vote would be Hearse,...pirates were over done last year..

If you change your "theme" every year then go with the hearse, if you keep the same or similar theme the go with the pirates.

I personnally like the hearse but the pirates give you so many options for the citzens of your haunt which you can add to each year.

Of couse there is the storage issue with the hearse, I showed my significant other a pic of one and her first comment was your not going to build that are you, and we have no place to keep it.

I vote for a undertaker type theme I'm now sculpting a head that looks like Bill Byrge who is the corpse in "Sitting up with the Dead" it's a funny video that Ray Stevens did. So that is what I'm doing this year he will pop up out of a coffin like in the video. but you could have him in your hearse.IMO any way here is what he will look like

Unless you plan to do a pirate theme regularly, I'd vote for the hearse. I think it's more versatile.

Alternatively, you could make a generic animated person/monster/whatever and DRESS it like a pirate then change costumes as needed for the present theme.

Even though we are doing the pirate thing this year, I would vote for the hearse ! It can fit so many different themes ! And yes, if you keep your pirates simple where a simple costume change will change the whole charater then.. either would work. A hearse is just soooo halloween ! Theres alway dead people on Halloween !

Definitely the hearse. We were going to do pirates this year but have decided to hold off until next year for them. We're doing a haunted hoedown this year and we're going to build a horse drawn hearse - I figure with a few changes I can work it into the cemetery scene each year. Hearses are just so versatile.
