Claymores work just fine and as you say the meat does comes dressed and tenderized but somehow I don't see my local Ace Hardware stocking them.

Well here's the problem with your plan. I live right in the middle of the city so I can't shoot Bambi anyway. It's a unique historic area that is zoned agricultural because our man-made lake was built to serve the purpose of a bridle path when the city was designed by R.A. Long (hence the name Longview). There are wooded hills all around us so that's where Bambi and friends live. I'll just plant more posies because everybody needs somewhere to live

You don't find very many cities where you have small residential farms in the middle of town. Developers would love to get their hands on this property to build condos. But the city's Historical Preservation Committee is not supporting rezoning efforts so Bambi is safe for now.
