Hey blinky, I think most kicking legs are done with a wiper motor. Here is the link for Scary Terry's kicking legs.

Basically the Black wires are the common or negative, the Yellow are the +12 volt, and the Red are +5 volt, and Orange are the +3.3 volt wires.

Commonly people will attach a switch between the green wire (pin 14 the on/off switching line) and a black wire. This will allow you to turn the supply on and off. Or you can just connect the two wirres and have the supply run when plugged in (I like a switch).

Many of these supplies require a load on them to function. This is commonly done by connecting a sandbar resistor or an auto bulb to a red wire and a black wire.

However, I have seen several supplies that use different wiring schemes. The easiest way is to often open the supply (be very careful as capacitors can retain a charge) and look at the board where the wires connect. The board will often have a label telling what the wire is.

Blink...monster guts also has "quick connects" that just plug right into the wiper motor and their power supply. Might now be of interest...but wanted to throw it out there since I had issues with random cords, pc power, etc when I tried it the first time. Now we just plug and go! Good luck, can't wait to see it!

and it doesn't cost that much either.

and if I use Skelly legs I have to make a lite weight something to make them move.
