Was hoping you all might get a chance to look at my web page and let me know if there are any miss spellings, etc? Maybe I missed some big things that should be on there as well...does it flow OK? This is my first attempt. I plan to add a links page later on, maybe a blurb about our charity as well and why we picked them?

Also...does anyone use pagebuilder and know how to add music to the site??? It is driving me CRAZY!!! I want some good creepy music but can't seem to add it :-(

Looks good! I didn't read it all, but here are a couple thoughts:

We hope that all those that (who?) attended Blackwell Manor's walk thru had a wonderful time!

Special thanks to all of those who donated (time and dollars) - this year was a complete success!!

One thing I like to have is a HOME link on every page, so you can navigate back without having to use the back button.

I think wilbret has a good idea...in fact, you could generate a standard set of links pretty easily that you could place at the bottom or top of each of your pages that could get you to all of the top-pages of the various sections of the website. It would make navigating to any particular section of your site much easier, regardless of where you happen to be...

Once the search engines find and index you, it will be even more useful. Coming from Google/Yahoo/AltaVista/etc., people won't necessarily reach your front page when first hitting your site.

Great start Hacknslash, your photos are cool. I know next to about zippo about websites but one thing I know that is nice is buttons that take you back to your main (home) page so you don't have to click back on your browser window.

    Ban Trunk or Treat!

Looks good so far. Have you thought about setting up cascading style sheets (CSS)? It really cuts down on the time you have to spend building from scratch. It also reduces load time, formatting, and the size of your website. There are also a lot of free templates out there. Two sites that I know of that have free CSS templates:
    http://www.opendesigns.org/
    http://www.freelayouts.com/

It's really worth looking into if you've time. The benefits are stacked high against straight HTML or XTML.

    More on CSS: http://www.webmonkey.com/webmonkey/r...lesheet_guide/

Some other resources that are good:

Thank you for all the info! I will look into every bit of it! I'm not good with computers at all..but I will give it a shot! I really don't want it to look so "small town", I'll try to figure out the CSS....I've heard about it (as I'm a technical recruiter)...but only get it functionally. Blinky...thanks for the music info...I'll dig around for some mp3 music! At this point...I'd take suggestions on that as well...something spooky...or even just some screams, etc. Think I'll try to post that in the music section and see if anyone has some to share :-)

    Thanks again guys/gals!

    Just a small suggestion...

There are a BUNCH of people who really do not like when audio/video auto-launches when you open up a web page....especially now that embedded viruses or malcode have been found and reported in audio/video files by some of the top anti-spam/anti-virus vendors.

You might want to consider setting up embedded audio so that the visitor can choose to turn it on, instead of auto-playing it.

    http://davesworld56.250free.com/Dave...eenSounds.html
and I know how to wrote the code so it will only play one time as they enter your site, so it doesn't bug anyone . Hope this has helped. Just hunt through the songs and tell me what one you want. and I don't embed nothing that hurts your web site or others.
