Okay, so I can't decide if my mourner at the cemetery should be a skellie or should I go with a mannequin head? Which do you think is creepier? I've got a wig for her (grey and kind of like Norman Bate's mother's hair) either way, but I just can't figure out which way to go. What do you think?

Mourners are usually still among the living, but not necessarily. I favor the mannequin head with long, flowing hair that partially hides the look of grief and despair on her face. If possible, you could add a looping soundtrack of a woman quietly sobbing.
    I...have many names...

    Mannequin, all the way.

I feel a woman in dark clothing has always frightened me. A skeleton is to be expected, but a ghostly figure is so much more unique. Especially if her face has no details, even more chilling.

    hee hee.

this was my mourner , more of a black widow , but the idea was she was mourning her dearly departed husband in the hearse..... if it gives you an idea , it was a bucky skeleton , the dress is an antique mourning dress , veil and umbrella(was distressed) found at walmart , grandma wig ..

i had a soundtrack playing in the hearse and in it you could hear a woman sobbing ...

i wanted to make one like this guy this year but didnt have time to get to it http://www.hauntedwebby.com/projects/alice.html

You could compromise.....if you wanted to go over-the-top, you could get the mannequin head to look normal on one side and then kind of decomposed on the other as they walked around her.

Or you can get a live actor and scare the poop out of people...
    "He has my father's eyes."
"Gomez, take those out of his mouth!"
