We tried the color filter, but it did not give the desired results....not even close. But this was back in 1989....so I was hoping technology might have improved in that area.

i too have been using the twisted compact bulbs and they work great and are very powerfull and much cooler then other bulbs .....we had 3 ghost in windows this year and i couldnt find the 18 inch fluorescent in stores so we used the twisted one , wow what a diffrence in glow compared to the 18 inch one .....
