    Cool prop at Wal-Mart - "String-It"

    While looking thru the novelty light section of Wal-Mart I found an interesting prop. It has two arms that extend and rapirly spin a string while LEDs flash in patterns below it. The result is a sine wave/flickering light effect that is pretty amazing. the light pattern can be set steady or can go through a display sequence to vary the effect. While not as dramatic as a Jacob's Ladder, it is a safer alternative.

    chris do you have a pic of that thing? i went to walmart and they didnt have much novelty lights their except one big eye that glows in the dark .....i was looking for plasma lamps found none...

    Sorry for the delay...
    Here's a link for it - I had the name wrong, its called "Stringin It". Be warned tho - all of the prices I've found online were at least $10.00 more than what I paid at Wal-Mart - $19.99.

    My kids got them somewhere they are neat but they dont hold up at all

    I'll have to keep an eye on it. It ran about 4 hours last Saturday and another 3 Halloween night. There was an extra string in the box - I imagine it would fray after awhile.
